One week down, 51 more to go. This will be the last of the iPhone wallpapers. I wanted to use a photo I had taken and put a message on it. I hope you like it.
This week I had put in a lot of thought as to what the next 7 designs will be and how they will be formatted. I settled in on CD covers. So, the next series of designs will be CD cover designs of current albums. I think I will just pick the top 7 albums and re-design those. By no means am I trying to be critical of these artists’ CD artwork, I just want to design something as if they had approached me with the design to see what I come up with. It should be interesting (I hope).

If you’re a designer and have been designing for a while, I’m sure that you’ve accumulated many unused designs that are stored somewhere in an unused folder on your hard drive – a digital purgatory. Recently, I had to create a campaign for a bank client that consisted of posters, table tents, and other items that were to be seen by customers in their branches. The campaign was to create awareness about their food drive. They wanted the visuals to be “powerful” so I felt the best approach was to make people just a little uncomfortable.
Unfortunately, that design was banished and I had to go with a “happier” approach. So, today’s design is based on the design that wasn’t used. I hope you like it.

The American Friends of Jamaica is one of my clients. They are a non-profit that provides aid to the island nation of Jamaica. I really like their cause and they do wonderful things. But anyway, this design is based on them. I created an iPhone wallpaper in their honor.
About the wallpaper
I enjoy working on design projects for them. Their focus is awareness and fund-raising. So, many times the design has to stir an emotion in the audience viewing the work. That usually means that you have to be poignant with the copy and utilize strong visuals. In this design, I kept the copy short and visual strong. I hope you like.
