Apple Announces iPhone 4S

by Jarvis Addison on October 4, 2011

Today, Apple announced the iPhone 4S at its “Let’s Talk iPhone” event. The key features about the new device will be its faster processor, iOS 5 and the Siri personal assistant. iCloud was also an important part of this announcement as it now allows device purchases to be used without the need of a computer. This is definitely a win for consumers. But anyway, Apple’s iPhone portfolio is pretty broad and hits all major price points. The iPhone 3GS will now be free. The current iPhone 4 will now be $99. Lastly, the iPhone 4S will be priced at $199, $299 and $399. I can’t wait to see market share numbers in February.
